[1] The Commonwealth War Graves Commission database lists the following men of the 13th Burma Rifles. Where date of death is known this is given.
Naik MAUNG GYI 16 March 1942
Jemadar MAUNG MAUNG GYI.
[2] On 5th February 1942, 11 recruits transferred from the 13th Burma Rifles to the 14th Battalion (War Diary 14th Burma Rifles, WO 172/985; (War diary 13th Burma Rifles)).
[3] The war diary for the 14th Burma Rifles places the H.Q. or at least a part of the 13th Battalion at KAHSI MANSAM (modern Ke-Hsi Mansam) on or around 16th April 1942. “B” Company, the 14th Burma Rifles was ordered to join up with the 13th Burma Rifles there after having handed over the bridges it was guarding to Chinese troops. A further entry on 21st April records that withdrawal orders for a platoon of the 14th Burma Rifles from HQ Southern Shan Area were not received by “OC 13 Burif” (War Diary 14th Burma Rifles, WO 172/986 (War diary 14th Burma Rifles)).
